lim∙mud ('lEm-müd) : Hebrew; study or learn

Limmud is a mutli-day, mutli-generational, interdenominational, and volunteer-led festival of Jewish learning. Since the first Limmud was held 25 years ago in the United Kingdom, Limmud has spread to a dozen cities around the world, including Moscow, Jerusalem, Istanbul, Berlin, and New York.

And now Limmud is coming to Los Angeles.

LimmudLA is a multi-day celebration of the kaleidoscope of Jewish life. Through learning and teaching beyond the boundaries of everyday experience, LimmudLA connects Jews of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of religious observance.

LimmudLA embraces all expression of Jewish life, culture, and religious practice. At LimmudLA, you will have the opportunity to interact with Jews of all backgrounds and level of technical knowledge. LimmudLA will feature programming for toddlers, teens, young adults, and older community members. Most important, LimmudLA will enable people to learn from one another in an engaging and stimulating environment.

Join us for LimmudLA on Presidents' Weekend, February 15-18, 2008.

LimmudLA will be strictly Glatt Kosher and the public sessions and spaces will be respectful of the laws of Shabbat.
